Villa Tranquilo Accommodation

We moved here to the Costa Blanca a year ago. We left the UK on 13th August 2006 and moved into our villa on 20th October 2006.

I created this BLOG mainly for my husband Dave. He has been writing a diary of sorts since we moved here and he has found it strangely therapeutic so now you can all hear him let off steam instead of just me! He can muse about the great things in Spain, the frustrating things here and the declining state of the UK.

We had a lot of work done when we bought this place and now can offer both bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation in a beautiful quiet part of the Costa Blanca at the foot of the Sierra Crevillente mountains. Don't know what happened to moving here for a quiet life - we always seem to be busy.

I'm sure Dave will tell you about the wildlife he sees and all the other things that happen here.

In our first year here we have had to use the hospital system (Vega Baja) and the fire brigade (los bomberos) as well as deal with many other things. We have found and lost a good translator and made and lost friends as well. Wow - what I time we have had.

Our car has it's first ITV (MOT) soon so I'm sure that will come up in the chat as well.
